Is Mudjacking Worth it?
Mudjacking is a traditional concrete lifting method that uses a heavy slurry mixture. This added weight can cause further concrete settlement, especially in soft soil or unstable ground conditions.
The effectiveness of mudjacking depends on the slurry’s quality, the soil conditions, and the repair technician’s expertise. These factors may worsen the problem by contributing to further settlement instead of preventing it, making mudjacking questionably worth pursuing.
Due to these uncertainties, many homeowners prefer polyurethane foam injection for concrete lifting and leveling. This innovative method is significantly lighter and helps prevent further settlement and soil erosion. Foam injections address the underlying cause of the damage, which mudjacking does not.
Is Mudjacking Expensive?

We had excess moisture issues in our crawlspace. Our experience with Dry Pro was outstanding from start to finish. Brook Hobgood, the Certified Field Inspector, was very thorough in his presentation. Pricing was up-front, financing was easy, and there were no surprises. We knew exactly what they were doing when they showed up on each particular day. Hayden, the technician, gave us a heads-up with the exact arrival time for each installation day. The crews were polite and friendly, answering any questions we had. They were also very efficient with their time and completed everything exactly when they said they would. They made sure we knew our satisfaction was their top priority. Daniel Soto and the Charlotte DryPro team are the best! I had my entire crawlspace – mold remediated, french drain and a sump pump installed, encapsulation and dehumidifier installed a year ago. I also elected to purchase the 5 year service warrantee, to protect my investment. The Team came out for the annual service inspection, and found a few minor repairs needed following the inspection, and came back out today to repair all the items, put fresh insulation tape around and even wiped down any dirty spots so my "white" encapsulated space looks like new again. thanks Daniel!
