Challenge

David and his family were having hardwood floors installed in their home when they noticed a bit of moisture under the floorboards. They had a vapor barrier, but it wasn’t keeping the moisture out. They called Dry Pro for a crawlspace evaluation and repair.

nasty crawl space with mold and wood rot

Solution

This crawl space repair was a two-day job for crew members Juan, Travis, and Gerber. On the first day, they cleaned out the debris from the crawl space, pulled the old insulation, remediated the mold and sealed all the vents. On the second day, they installed ExtemeBloc™ on the walls and 200ft of drainage matting. They also laid CrawlSeal™ on the floor and taped it down.

CrawlSeal™ Encapsulation is better than traditional vapor barriers because it is designed to last the life of the home. It is super durable, so it won’t rip or get holes in it when someone crawls on it. An ordinary crawlspace liner is also difficult to install on the walls and can easily be pulled down. Not only does CrawlSeal™ work better than traditional vapor barriers, but it is also a lot more attractive. Just look at the photos.
