Janet in Norwood, NC called Dry Pro after noticing water along a wall in her basement during heavy rain. We sent Nick, one of our Certified System Design Specialist to inspect her property. When Nick arrived he not only saw that Jane’s crawlspace needed to be waterproofed, but he also found a lot of mold that needed to be removed.
Our team started this project with a full mold remediation on the floor joists and sub floor in the crawlspace. They also did a spot wipe remediation of the wall between the crawlspace and basement. After the mold was removed, Foreman Adan and his crew began to waterproof the crawlspace. They installed a pipe and gravel drain system around the entire exterior of the crawlspace. They also installed CrawlSeal™ 10mil vapor barrier, a SafeDri™ Sump Pump with Exit Line and YardWell™ outlet, as well as, a Mini Dry Pro Dehumidifier.
CrawlSeal™ is a vapor barrier that prevents the evaporation of ground moisture into the crawlspace air. The SafeDri™ Sump Pump automatically pumps water away from the foundation and the exit line carry’s water from the pump to the outside of the house. The Dry Pro dehumidifier traps dust and mold spores giving you cleaner air. The combination of these products, expels moisture and water from the crawlspace before it can cause problems, like rot, rust, mold, odors, and insects.
